Emotions flow like a river through my soul -
Striking, swishing, and whirling around;
My breath is deep and I am one with the flow -
Enbracing the purpose for which I am bound.
I see; I feel; I hear all their words -
Rumbling like a volcano through my veins;
Carried by the brilliant light of love -
In the end, love is always what remains.
I soar through the journey like an eagle -
Seeing through life with my mind's eye;
Receiving all they choose to give -
Not always knowing the reason or why.
Spinning in place but never moving -
A vessel through which to flow through;
All of the light I can breathe in and out -
Grateful for all through me they do.

Beth,
Hello - just came across your blog and I’ve enjoyed reading some of the things you’ve written. I've never been able to write poetry and I'm always so impressed by those who can.
My passion is all things Empathic. It is a subject which has been near and dear to my heart for nearly two years now. A novice of sorts, but learning more every day. In fact, I have written a book on the subject which is about to be published later this year - in October.
I'd like to invite you to check out my blog (talks about my book, some of my experiences, feelings, etc.)
Good to meet you!
I'd be delighted if you would visit my blog: http://lodestarre.blogspot.com/
Blessings,
Pamela
Beth,
Thanks for your lovely compliment! I'd like to check out some other quality blogs on the net dedicated to Empathy. Know of any you could suggest?
Pamela
Beth, I read this poem once and enjoyed it but I understood it a lot better after a second read. The imagery and purpose are terrific.

Love this poem!
Thanks for your most recent comment on my blog (http://lodestarre.blogspot.com) about people asking you how to make empathic abilities go away. Personally, I agree with you: Empathic ability IS a gift from God. But it did not feel that way until I learned a few basic skills, like differentiating my own feelings from someone else's and what I call 'blocking' - which does not shut it all out, just limits it to a manageable level.
Maybe we need some online classes!
BTW - thanks for the 'God Bless' - blessings are always accepted and appreciated!
