If

If I could only wish upon a star,
That I might be where you are;
I'd fill each moment with a kiss,
And tell you how very much I miss,
The smile that warmed every day,
The funny things you would say,
The twinkle in your eyes so bright,
If I could see you I just might,
Risk everything I hold so dear,
Just to have you with me here.
I'd swim across the Atlantic Ocean,
To set things in their proper motion.
It would not be courage I would lack,
If I thought you could be back,
Within the arms made only for you;
There is truly nothing I would not do.

Reunion

The man who has stolen my heart
Through centuries of darkness and light,
Stands before me now in perfect vision
Just as I was giving up the fight.

His eyes are bold and a wise steel blue;
His hair is of the darkest raven;
Stature in perfect compliment of my own;
Brilliantly smiling and clean shaven!

Locked in the recognition of mates;
The world seems suspended in time;
All around notice the explosion;
Hearts that were so hard to find.

So long had we waited painfully
In search of our missing piece;
Past travels mean nothing now.
The search, now, will finally cease.

A Medium's Prayer

It is a mystery still to me;
Those to whom I fall prey;
Lost souls flock to my nest -
Though they tend not to stay.

I care for those who are weak
By feeding them strength;
I give only what I receive;
My soul has not length.

I only show them the way
To finally release and fly free;
I cannot control, although
What they choose to be.

It is only my understanding,
All I have to offer within;
With the hope one lost soul -
Will finally be able to transcend.

Risk Factor

Centuries of lessons have I learned;
I have risked all to be free!
A dilemma, there never has been;
To happiness, risks are the key.

There are things I would not risk,
But only one or two of order;
Still those are not for gamble;
The key, in part, is drawing the border.

Know what you are willing to lose;
The prize worth all the more;
Freedom is not to be taken lightly -
For even, always becomes the score.

Self Encounter

An illusion of magnificent reality -
Caught in the image of mind's eye;
Restlessly waiting for opportune times;
Relentlessly aching to defy.

A pillar of the endless cycle,
Standing stubbornly in its path;
Proud and true, a dream of past
Roaring hysterically with its wrath.

A vision of one's mirror of self;
Mocking the realization of sight,
Smiling with a sense of great will;
Wings open wide for night flight.

Two Faces

However would the morrow seem now,
Endless ponder I am sure awaits me;
Beneath the stars I saw the light;
Luck is mine for no one else to see!

Though fool I'm sure I must seem,
Truth be known, I see clear;
No more moments of time wasted;
Stories I won't be around to hear.

Loyalty should be an easy offer,
Given, it is, only in instance rare;
Matched by the lack of trust;
Face of expression we all share.

Thoughts read by a look of eyes;
Secrets revealed, though not intended;
Would not a better place be
One where none had pretended?

Moutain Bliss

Pillowy softness, endless still
Among the skies so high;
Blue smoke among the heavens,
Though never of nature shy.

Mountains of forest lusture
Where rivers flow through;
Wildlife in ever abundance;
Every day is fresh and new.

Rain to cool the days,
Beautiful colors of fall;
Snow capped beauty by winter;
Summer is best of all!

Shaded by southern trees,
In a land full of clean air;
Our haven in the hills;
Our peace within our prayer.

Sweet Revenge

Hearty is the voice of laughter I hear
Likely wonder it is my very own!
I waited forever for the end result;
Though whether worth it is yet to be known.

If it comes around, around it must go!
Myth or truth? I did decide;
Through experiment and utmost patience;
In the end, it is evident who lied.

Friends you discover in truth so soon,
When trust is needed in desperate form;
Fear separates the ones who believe -
Cold now, the look that should be warm.

Envy and prestige be yours ever more -
If listening and patience keep wise;
For none the better for precious revenge -
Was it truly worth the ultimate prize?

Nature's Wine

Morning in its ever lasting glow
Upon the dew of the mountain -
The sweet smell of another day;
A cool drink from nature's fountain.

The chill of the year's first snow,
The smell of the rain on the pines;
The brilliant color of a perfect rose;
A taste of nature's intoxicating wine.

Sound Judgement

Criminally insane, of defense, I have not -
Though free and clear I have never been;
Lost to the world and all those in it;
Of this, I am most certainly guilty of sin.

A world of imaginary personalities -
Fear where the outcome is already known;
Life is full of passion and inspiration -
Though now tame, I reap as I have sown.

My spirit is free as it always has been -
The walls about me could never bar that;
Though try as they might to force control,
It is only behind these walls I have sat.

A tender character is one that is born -
Life only molds through what is around;
The soul will endure for lessons learned -
Who is the judge of what is sound?

Shine

Position yourself wherever you may be,
Amongst the stars; a shining light.
Glow openly from within your soul,
And let your spirit take flight.

Love everyone you see openly;
Let go and be one with all;
Be as you are intended to be;
Let your light shine bright and tall.

Heaven

Escape with me to a world unknown
Where nothing matters except love and life;
Where children play without fear -
No more hardship, no more strife.

Where roses bloom throughout the winter
And grass nor trees ever die;
Where sunshine is a friend, not an enemy -
And no one is ever sad to cry.

A place where no evil egos exist
So there is never a person who is mean;
There, all the world is a splendid place -
And ugly faces are never seen.

I close my eyes and see this place
With castles cascading from the air;
Where money nor gold is a requirement -
And in all the land, nothing is unfair.

A land where people are not afraid to love
And hearts are given without fear;
Where laughter and happiness fill every day -
We'll live for each moment year after year.
