At times I've thought to break the silence -
That lingers still between you and I;
Uncertain if I really should do that or not -
Wondering if you've thought of our goodbye;
To share such, as all that we shared -
Distance between us so vast and great;
How can one just simply walk away -
From paths that crossed by fate?
Irrational words burst through emotion -
No time to think, impatient with pain;
Angry for all I was willing to risk -
Feelings to work out, of shame.
Did not you know my heart indeed -
Or was it all for the pleasure?
Reality or fear, I still do not know -
To run from an unlocked treasure.
Risque, for sure, what I suggested -
I'd not thought to lose altogether;
Indeed, I thought to know your heart -
I'll still treasure the memory forever.

The Fire Within
Find the ember that starts the flame -
Let flame light flame through your being;
Let loose the creativity inside you -
Then visions of heaven, you'll be seeing.
Let your spirit soar beyond all fears -
Look back in triumph from where you are;
Love with every ounce of your heart -
Dance in gratitude for every star.
Set loose the oxygen to fully ignite -
Breathe deeply and exhale the weight;
Know you are meant to glow with light -
Come now, my friend and make your fate!
Close your eyes and visualize it all -
Everything you deeply desire to be;
Let the gratitude flow through you -
Open your eyes, and you shall see!
Take hold of what deeply gratifies you -
Therein lies the mysterious key;
There is reason for what moves your soul -
Follow it, and you will be free.

My Lover's Clovers
Skimming slowly through the grass, feet bare -
In a meditative state with the nature sounds;
Lost in my silence, not expecting you there -
And then your energy suddenly surrounds...
My eyes wide open, I see your bare foot -
Only half an inch pointing toward my own;
Just in between, a four leaf clover as if put -
By your hand, into the ground, sewn.
A warmness comes as I hold the clover -
Memories swirl of a much different time;
Brought to a halt as if all was over -
Enchanted, as I enter the sublime.
A miracle accepted, though not expected -
I go back to my enchanting, inward escape;
Then, around the corner, your foot resurrected -
And two more four leaf clovers take shape!
I expected the three for the boys and me –
Delighted you chose to acknowledge us all;
Then, my sweet girl screams with delight –
As she runs giggling toward me with her doll.
“Look, look! See what I have!” -
Squeals my excited little bumble of energy;
She holds yet another four leaf clover –
I am amazed by the miraculous synergy.
Just behind her, I hear your laugh –
So uniquely you, even from there;
Tears streaming, I am so very grateful –
You have brought the peace of my prayer.
