You Are Me

In every moment I see your smile -
You should be here with me;
I long to feel your gentle touch -
But I wonder now, will this be?

Connected across time and land -
To know your heart once again;
Your boundless soul knows mine -
But this time, will my heart win?

A fleeting thought I know is yours -
A song I hear, always in my mind;
I know you are thinking of me -
But, will my heart, you find?

I can see through time and space -
But, your love I cannot see;
I can feel what others feel inside -
Separate I cannot, for you are me.

As if looking in the mirror -
To see the other side I hide;
There I am inside your heart -
Where my love will forever abide.

Powerful Words

So powerful are the words that you speak -
Why, indeed, do you speak to me in this way;
Hidden in the shadows, concealing yourself?
Light is truth, opened wide - words you say.

Is it then, a game you play? - you do see me -
That acknowledgement, I give, that you seek;
In tune, indeed, or did this take study?
Clever, you are, in knowing where I am weak.

Is your intent, then, to frighten? -
To leave me with no clues in reality;
Are you waiting for me to see it clearly? -
To my life, there is no thing as normality.

You know that I am observing - yet still -
You seek what is not mine to give;
Answers come through me, not from me -
It is for the growth of others I live.

Centuries

I have known you through centuries -
In my dreams I am gently guided;
Times and eras where we have been -
Blessed memories, I stand excited.

For all eternity, I have known you -
Through each cycle, to find you at last;
Once again, remembering every event;
As if, all in one moment, is our past.

What was it, my love, that I once did?
A cell of worry exists through fear;
Perhaps, it is, you misunderstood -
It was for your love, I took that spear.

And here and now you seek me out -
Whirling in emotion brought from there;
Rushes running through our veins -
Pinning these hearts that do so dare.

Wondering, why this time, we have chosen -
Such miles in obstacles to be near;
Your day - My night; Opposite worlds -
Why now, in this time, does this appear?

Not meant to be? I couldn't believe -
How is it, through all, we have still found;
The hearts that beat only for each other -
The signs, all around us, so profound.

Come hither, my love, as I await -
Or bring me to the nearness we so need;
For centuries, together, we have worked -
Planting this ever blossoming seed.

Butterflies

The butterflies have returned -
Once again, they whirl inside me;
At the sight of you, fluttering -
A sight they so longed to see.

Your energy is with me still -
Though you are so many miles away;
Lost in the moment without time -
With so much still left to say.

I knew you would not go far -
Still the agony swelled deep;
Needing your smile, your words -
My heart took a giant leap.

Faith in knowing without a doubt -
The bigger plan, yet to be seen;
Our future is still yet to be -
Waiting to see what it all means.

Ghost Walks

I have a new ebook of poetry out, Ghost Walks, a collection of 21 poems featuring the emotions and energies of ghosts.

A portion of all sales will go to benefit the opening of an arts and sciences center for children with high functioning autism in my local area. Our hope is that we may help others open similar centers in many areas. Ghost Walks is the first book in a planned series to benefit this cause. Each collection is planned to feature different emotions from different planes.

Ghost Walks is hosted by Lulu, and is available for download purchase now!

Unlocked Treasure

At times I've thought to break the silence -
That lingers still between you and I;
Uncertain if I really should do that or not -
Wondering if you've thought of our goodbye;

To share such, as all that we shared -
Distance between us so vast and great;
How can one just simply walk away -
From paths that crossed by fate?

Irrational words burst through emotion -
No time to think, impatient with pain;
Angry for all I was willing to risk -
Feelings to work out, of shame.

Did not you know my heart indeed -
Or was it all for the pleasure?
Reality or fear, I still do not know -
To run from an unlocked treasure.

Risque, for sure, what I suggested -
I'd not thought to lose altogether;
Indeed, I thought to know your heart -
I'll still treasure the memory forever.

The FIre Within

Find the ember that starts the flame -
Let flame light flame through your being;
Let loose the creativity inside you -
Then visions of heaven, you'll be seeing.

Let your spirit soar beyond all fears -
Look back in triumph from where you are;
Love with every ounce of your heart -
Dance in gratitude for every star.

Set loose the oxygen to fully ignite -
Breathe deeply and exhale the weight;
Know you are meant to glow with light -
Come now, my friend and make your fate!

Close your eyes and visualize it all -
Everything you deeply desire to be;
Let the gratitude flow through you -
Open your eyes, and you shall see!

Take hold of what deeply gratifies you -
Therein lies the mysterious key;
There is reason for what moves your soul -
Follow it, and you will be free.

My Lover's Clovers

Skimming slowly through the grass, feet bare -
In a meditative state with the nature sounds;
Lost in my silence, not expecting you there -
And then your energy suddenly surrounds...

My eyes wide open, I see your bare foot -
Only half an inch pointing toward my own;
Just in between, a four leaf clover as if put -
By your hand, into the ground, sewn.

A warmness comes as I hold the clover -
Memories swirl of a much different time;
Brought to a halt as if all was over -
Enchanted, as I enter the sublime.

A miracle accepted, though not expected -
I go back to my enchanting, inward escape;
Then, around the corner, your foot resurrected -
And two more four leaf clovers take shape!

I expected the three for the boys and me –
Delighted you chose to acknowledge us all;
Then, my sweet girl screams with delight –
As she runs giggling toward me with her doll.

“Look, look! See what I have!” -
Squeals my excited little bumble of energy;
She holds yet another four leaf clover –
I am amazed by the miraculous synergy.

Just behind her, I hear your laugh –
So uniquely you, even from there;
Tears streaming, I am so very grateful –
You have brought the peace of my prayer.

Open

Until the sun shines on the morrow
I will wait, enchanted by all it brings
I am growing by leaps and bounds
I wait, as the bird on my window sings

Open to all I can enjoy this day
Open to all growth I can receive
Open to all those I can guide in spirit
Open to all those who will believe

Brought through all to stand straight
As the tree swayed but did not bend
So my spirit has followed its lead
And brought me safely to transcend

And this I know as the day dawns
Love is in abundance through all
All that is needed is to choose so
If you let go, you will not fall

Hover instead and see clearly
What lies ahead and before you
Make today be the blessed day
You discover all you can do

Judge of Truth

How is this, you know another’s path
How is this, you know their truth
What has brought such wisdom
That you may judge as a sleuth?

How then, is it that you know
The guilt of one you have not known
The heart of the one you knew not
Or what was reaped by what was sewn?

Not your task to judge another
Only yourself you are clearly showing
Giving all the world what you hold
In your righteous world of knowing.
